Transworld is a single-source international logistics company whose comprehensive services include ocean and air freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, and local distribution management. Transworld serves you not only as a full-service ocean freight forwarder, but also as a Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC). While we do not operate the actual ocean carriers, we cultivate long-term agreements with multiple leading sea freight carriers to provide our customers with optimum capacity availability and sailing schedules at the best leveraged pricing. Unlike direct business with ocean carriers, customers are not contractually obligated to annual minimum shipping quantities. We provide cost-effective services to our customers at either the Full Container Load (FCL) or Less than Container Load (LCL) levels. Transworld provides customs clearance, marine insurance, and other ocean related services. In addition, Transworld is one of the few NVOCC's with in-house Automated Manifest System (AMS) services required by the United States' new Homeland Security regulations. Being a single-source company, some Transworld branches also provide warehousing and domestic distribution services. Besides operating our own warehouses, we have extensive partnerships with trucking and warehouse facilities throughout the world to cover the comprehensive warehousing and distribution needs of our clients. To better serve our customers, select Transworld branches also provide services such as re-palletizing, pallet fixing, export packing, and re-wrapping to make sure our client's cargo conforms to their end customer's needs. Transworld has been aggressively expanding its air freight capabilities globally to service the express delivery needs of our customers. Currently, we are the out-sourced partner agent for the United Postal Service of Taiwan's Tai-Chung county.
